STORY 1- GENTLEMEN

STORY 1- GENTLEMEN

I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend Ruhi for about 3 years, now. We started dating in college. She has this knack for traveling. Though, I am not much of a traveler, but I still like to pamper and spoil her. Thus, as a birthday gift to her, I planned a round trip from Delhi to Guwahati. Ruhi’s birthday, was on 12th August, but we planned for a day earlier. When I told her about the trip, we boarded the Air Asia flight and settled in our seats. It was two and a half hour flight. We were having a nice time; the clouds seemed to smile and wave at us from the window. We were about to have our dinner and Ruhi just went to the washroom to freshen up. In about an hour, we reached Guwahati and checked in, in the hotel. Around 3 o’clock in the morning, sound of some muffled weeping woke me up from my sleep. When I checked for Ruhi she was not there in bed, so when I went looking for her, I found her sitting on the bathroom floor and weeping. I got so scared, I asked her what happened. She said she is in a lot of pain, her stomach was aching, and she wanted to pee but could not, as it was burning so bad, that she had to hold it inside. First thing in the morning, we booked an appointment with the doctor. He asked for a couple of tests. When the reports came, he informed us that, Ruhi had contracted UTI. The doctor asked her if she had used some public toilet, so she recalled the flight journey. After listening, the doctor confirmed, that it was from the unhygienic toilet in the plane, that she had conracted this disease. The doctor prescribed some medicines and advised me to ask for something called Sanfe, from the chemist. When I asked him, what is it for, he smiled and said, you will know. I could not understand what it was for. When I read about it, I figured that it was a peeing device for women, so that they could stand and pee. All the instructions were given, on how to use the device. On the doctor’s advice, I asked Ruhi to use it, as it would help her to pee, and avoid any physical contact with the toilet. She used Sanfe, and when she came out from the toilet, she looked relieved and happy. So I ran to the chemist shop again, and bought a couple of more Sanfe units for her. I gave my girl, the gift of health and hygiene, for life.
